RICK HANSEN

In 1985, Rick Hansen destroyed the notion of what it means to have a limitation. The Man in Motion wheeled around the world raising millions for Spinal Cord Injury research.  In this candid conversation, Rick divulges the dialogue that helped save his relationship with wife Amanda, along with his four principles to living a successful life.

One of the many remarkable qualities of Rick Hansen is that he remembers the people that helped him create a legacy. He inspires those around him with his words. Rick was one of the first people to answer the call to share some personal moments for the Every Conversation Counts project.

His story of conquering the unthinkable has always been a personal one in our family, as twenty seven years ago, Mama Meghji worked in the accounting department of his Man In Motion Tour. He gave us both the opportunity to participate in the 25th Anniversary Relay for the now iconic journey. It is a moment that will never be forgotten.
